Hindu man arrested and later released for putting ‘Swastik’ on the entrance of his house in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) – A Hindu engineer was arrested for putting ‘Swastik – an auspicious symbol’ on the entrance of his house. This incident happened due to the mistaken identity of the ‘Swastik’ to be connected with Nazis. When the Police got convinced, it being a Hindu religious symbol, they released the engineer.

Forty-five-year-old Hindu engineer from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh is a working resident of Saudi Arabia for one year. Some days back he had invited his family members to pay a visit to Saudi Arabia. They had put that ‘Swastik’ on the house after their arrival in Saudi Arabia. The neighbour complained about it saying it was posing a danger to his life. Hence, the engineer was arrested by the Police. NRI social worker Muzammil Sheikh helped him by convincing the Police that the ‘Swastik’ was the Hindu religious symbol. Thereafter, the Police released the engineer.
