Hindi will be taught in private schools in Kashmir after 32 years

Srinagar (Jammu-Kashmir) – Hindi is going to be taught up to 10th standard for the first time in private schools after 32 years in Jammu-Kashmir. ‘Jammu-Kashamir State Council of Educational Research Training’ has established an 8-member committee for this cause. This committee will recommend teaching Hindi in more than 3000 private schools by 20th February. Hindi is being taught in Jammu but it was stopped in Kashmir since 1990. Now teachers teaching Hindi are not available.

1. BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur said that language is not related to any faith. Muslims are learning Hindi in many states in India.

2. The Spokesperson of Gupkar Front Mahammad Yusuf said that we would oppose the efforts of the BJP to teach Hindi in private schools. If Hindi is given importance like other languages, it will impact the unity of the nation. Urdu has been accepted in Educational System and Administration. Maharaja Hari Singh only declared Urdu as the official language in 1920.
