We want peaceful relations with India however the problem of Kashmir should be solved

The Pakistani Prime Minister’s duplicitous behaviour in the United Nations General Assembly exposed

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

New York (USA) – Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said at the United Nations General Assembly that Pakistan wanted peaceful relations with India. At the same time, he also mentioned that the Kashmir issue should be resolved.

Prime Minister Sharif said,

1. we wish to maintain peaceful relations with all neighbouring Countries, including India. Our goal is to maintain a peaceful environment in South Asia for a long time to come. On the other hand, we also support the demand for a solution to the Jammu-Kashmir dispute.

2. India should take credible steps to create a favourable atmosphere for constructive engagement (Pakistan should make efforts for it, not India. It should be such that the world should see it. – Editor). We are neighbours and we will always be neighbours. It is up to us whether we live in peace or fight each other (Pakistan should take this decision, not India – Editor).

3. Since 1947, we have fought three wars. Both Countries have suffered from misery, poverty, and unemployment as a result of this war. (Pakistan should remember that these wars were not started by India, but by Pakistan and Pakistan suffered humiliating defeat. – Editor). It is now up to us to resolve our differences and issues through peaceful negotiations and discussions.

Editorial viewpoint

Pakistan should never forget that Kashmir is an integral part of India. The moment Pakistan accepts and stops jihadi terrorism there, only then will peaceful relations with Pakistan be established.
