Mohammad Samad arrested for threatening to bomb Shahi Jama Masjid in Bareilly

Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh) – The Police have arrested Mohammad Samad for threatening to blow up the Jama Masjid with a bomb during the Friday namaz and also to shoot and kill the Masjid’s Imam (the person who leads the namaz in the Masjid). He put up the threatening poster on the masjid walls on 7^th September.

The Police said that the Masjid’s imam Mufti Khursid Alam had appealed that DJ should not be used in the procession celebrating Eid Milad un Nabi. This had angered Samad. He had planned this plot of issuing threat to get rid of Imam Alam from the  Masjid.
