The pastor of ‘Bethel Gospel Church’ in Seawoods accused of sexually abusing 3 more minor girls !

Pastor Rajkumar Yesudasan

Navi Mumbai  – Pastor Rajkumar Yesudasan, who runs an unlicensed orphanage at the Bethel Gospel Charitable Trust church in Seawoods, has been accused of sexually abusing 3 more minor girls. In this case, District Child Protection Officer Ramakrishna Reddy who is himself an N.R.I. had filed more than 3 sexual harassment complaints against Yesudasan in the Police station. Based on his complaints 3 separate cases have been registered. A.R.K foundation had called a press conference and claimed that  ‘no one had been sexually abused in a church-run orphanage’. But now the foundation’s claim can be taken as false.

1. Earlier it has been revealed that a 14-year-old girl who had been previously rescued from the orphanage was abused sexually. This was discovered after a disclosure made by the lady officers of the Women and Child Development Department. Based on this information a sexual abuse complaint was filed against Yesudasan in the N.R.I. police station In the month of August. Hence a total of 4 cases of molesting minors have been registered under POSCO against Yesudasan.

2. In the month of August, the District Child Protection Committee raided the church and rescued 45 minors, which included 13 girls. Since then Yesudasan is under arrest.

3. On further investigation by the Women and Child Development Department, 3 more minor girls reported being sexually abused by Pastor Yesudasan. This included 2 sisters from Rajasthan aged 13 and 14.

4. Another 10-year-old girl also made similar claims. Hence Mr Reddy gave a stern warning that if someone wants to run hostels and orphanages in the city, permission is required from the Government. Otherwise, serious action will be taken against the people concerned.

Editorial viewpoint

Why isn’t the media giving publicity to such news ? If in case a Hindu Saint was falsely accused, then it would have been flashed all over the country as ‘Breaking News’ !
