1989 – Rubaiya Sayeed kidnapping case
Srinagar (J&K) – Ex-Chief Minister of J&K, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed’s daughter Rubaiya Sayeed told the Court that she was kidnapped by the terrorist Yasin Malik. She identified Yasin Malik and two other terrorists in the Court. She was asked to be present in Court.

Currently, she resides in Tamil Nadu. On 8th December 1989, Rubaiya was kidnapped. Terrorists demanded the release of 5 terrorists in return for Rubaiya. Mufti Mohammed Sayeed was the home minister of the country at that time. Rubaiya was released after five terrorists were released.
