India marches towards a Self-reliant nation !

New Delhi – As per the vision of ‘Self-reliant India’ of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is marching towards it. In 2020-21, China contributed 16.5% of the entire imports. It further dropped to 15.4% during 2021-22.

Although it is a tiny drop compared to overall imports, mobile phone imports have plunged by a whopping 55%. In 2020-21, mobile phones worth USD 14 billion were imported. This dropped to USD 6.25 Billion in 2021-22.
