Pilibhit (UP) – The priest, identified as Baba Rishi Giri alias Madanlal Pujari, was killed for eating meat and drinking alcohol inside the temple. The assailants had advised the priest not to eat meat or drink alcohol. He was beaten to death with sticks for refusing to do so.

His body was then dumped on the riverbank outside the village. He had been working as a priest in the Mahadev temple in Jithania village for the last 3 years.
