Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) fines seven students Rs 5000 each for reciting Hanuman Chalisa

Fined for organizing collective Hanuman Chalisa recitation

Bhopal (MP) – 7 students of VIT, Bhopal were penalised Rs 5000 each for organising Hanuman Chalisa recitation in the college hostel. This action was taken based on the complaints from other students.

The administration has clarified that there are no objections to the religious rituals followed at the personal level. However, if the same rituals organised for the masses are not permissible.
