Action taken for not adhering to the conditions stipulated before holding rally at Aurangabad

Aurangabad (Maharashtra) – The Police have filed a case against MNS President Raj Thackeray and the organisers of the rally held on the 1st of May 2022 at the ground of ‘Marathwada Sanskrutik Mandal’ for not adhering to twelve conditions among the 16 conditions based on which permission was granted for the rally. The Police have claimed that twelve out of the sixteen conditions stipulated by them before Raj Thackeray held the rally were not obeyed. Through a notice issued in this context, the Police had warned Raj Thackeray of taking action against him if the conditions were not followed in toto.

It is an attempt to scare us – Sandeep Deshpande, MNS leader

MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande said, “The Police had done things like not granting permission or stipulating oppressive conditions. Have they stipulated such conditions for any other rally held so far ? We feel that the State Government is pressurising the Police. We are sure that the conditions applied by the Police would not stand the test of law. Cases have been filed to scare us, but Maharashtra Sainik won’t sit quietly and there will be agitations.”

Raj Thackeray’s voice raised by 2-1/2 times

The main point of the rally held by Raj Thackeray was the sound of loudspeakers from mosques. The Police had stipulated the sound limit of 50 decibels for the speech, but his sound had reached around 120 decibels, which was 2-1/2 times more than the stipulated limit. The senior Police Officer also informed that he would be sending the report on the issue to Mumbai.

It was also stipulated that there should be no provoking statements regarding caste, religion, race, etc. It will be checked whether that condition was adhered to and its report would be sent to Mumbai as well.
