At last billionaire, Elon Musk has bought Twitter

The deal was for 44 billion Dollars

Washington (US) – Billionaire Elon Musk, Chief Executive Officer of Tesla has become the new owner of Twitter. The contract was of 33,600 crore (44 billion dollars). Musk will have to pay 54.20 dollars (Rs. 4148) for each Twitter share. Musk is already a 9% partner of Twitter. He is Twitter’s largest Shareholder. After today’s contract, Musk will become 100% shareholder of the company and Twitter will be his private company.

According to the CNN news, once Musk takes over Twitter, all the previous shareholders will be given 54.20 dollars per share.

Hopefully, Twitter’s freedom of speech continues now

After completing the purchase contract, Musk twitted his approval of freedom of speech. He wrote that the objective of purchasing Twitter was so that people’s freedom of speech stayed uncompromised.

Twitter’s worldwide influence

Twitter has 21.7 crore active users worldwide. Among them, the greatest numbers are in the US at 7.7 crore followed by Japan with 5.8 crores users. India at third place with 2.4 crore users.
