Would the Government at least now take the concrete steps to save ancient Idols from being robbed ? |

New Delhi – 29 antiquities stolen from India have been brought back to India. They mainly comprise Deities’ pictures, Idols, and crafts. They were stolen from Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, MP, Gujarat, Bengal, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, etc. They are going to be repatriated to the respective States. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected these ancient Idols and specifically thanked Australia for sending them. Some of the Idols among them are from the 9th and 10th Centuries. Others are hundreds of years old. These ancient antiquities comprise Deity Shiva and His disciples, Shakti, Shri Vishnu, and His forms, the Jain tradition, pictures, and decorative crafts.
