Hyderabad (Telangana) – There was an attempt to rape a young girl in a running train in Hyderabad, the Capital of Telangana. The girl jumped off the train to save herself. She got injured. (Shame on the Railway Police and the Administration.- Editor). The victim is being treated in a hospital.
This incident took place when the girl was travelling alone by MMTS train, in the ladies’ compartment from Sikandarabad to Medchal.
The victim told the Police, “My co-passengers, two other girls alighted at Alwal station. I was alone in the compartment after that. Suddenly, a young man came to me and misbehaved. He tried to force himself on me. I jumped off the train to save myself.”
According to Police information, the girl has suffered injuries on her head, chin, right hand and waist. She was admitted to a government hospital by some people who saw her in injured condition.
Earlier on 6th of February 2025, similar incident had taken place in Tamil Nadu. In Vellore District, near Katpadi, an attempt was made to molest a 36-year-old pregnant woman in a running train. When she tried to resist, she was pushed out of the train.
