73% population in South Korea undergoing stress, seeking peace by paying money

Seoul (South Korea) – Citizens in South Korea feel bored due to the very long period of coronavirus pandemic and work pressure. In one survey, 73% of the population there believe that they were under stress. South Korea is topping the list of suicides in the industrial field. As a result, people are trying to buy peace. This problem is named ‘Hitting mang’

  1. In the Hitting Mang culture, they do not carry paper and pen. They sit in a restaurant on the bank of a river or a beach and keep looking at nature. There are very strict rules pertaining to peace. A 40 minutes film is shown in many theatres.
    In Gangwon Province, a mock jail has been constructed. People can stay there with only paper and pen for 48 hours. They are not allowed a mobile phone or talk to anyone. The Spokesperson of this Foundation, Sung-Hoon said that people come here to face themselves. They try to get happiness by questioning themselves.  The experience of living in solitude without any disturbance energises them to face the future.
  2. A 39-year-old Ye-Jung, working in a company said that companies are struggling to survive. Husband-wife are worried about earning money. Everyone is experiencing stress. Hitting Mang culture was becoming popular for relieving people from severe depression. People were searching for peace in the absence of family.
