Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) – Manish Gupta, a 36-year-old businessman from Kanpur, was beaten to death by the Police while going for a walk in Gorakhpur. As a result, 6 Policemen were suspended. A case has been registered against them. All these cops are currently absconding. The case is being investigated by the Crime Branch. In this case, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has visited the residence of the victim Gupta family and announced to help them with Rs 20 lakh.


Manish Gupta was accompanied by his friends Pradeep Chauhan and Hardeep Singh at a hotel in Ramgarh Tal area of ​​Gorakhpur. Gupta had an argument with the Police who came to the hotel for questioning. He was later beaten up by the Police. After Gupta lost consciousness due to the beating, the Police had earlier admitted him to a private hospital but when the condition was found to be serious, he was rushed to a medical college, Manish Gupta later died. Even after the death, the Police are said to have hidden Gupta’s body for an hour and a half.

The autopsy report of Manish found 4 serious injuries on his body. Manish’s head injury has proved fatal. There is a mark of a baton on the left wrist. Manish was found to have been beaten up with a stick; beating marks were found over the right eye.
