Religious fanatic rapes a married Hindu woman from Jaipur, converts her forcibly to Islam

The Police refuse to lodge a complaint

Jaipur (Rajasthan) – A 25-year-old married Hindu woman from Pratapnagar was raped by a religious fanatic named Shahid, and then forcibly converted to Islam. Following a Court order, a case has been registered regarding the matter.

According to the report, the victim’s husband used to assault her daily under the influence of alcohol. Shahid, who lived next door, then took the woman and her son to Kashmir on the pretext of getting a good job. After going there, Shahid threatened to kill the woman’s son, raped her, and converted her forcefully to Islam. He then changed the woman’s name to Sonam and the son’s name to Sarfaraz. Four years after the incident, the woman escaped from the clutches of the accused and reached the Police Station where the Police refused to register a complaint. The victim then approached the Court.

The Court ordered to register a case against Shahid, Aamir Hussain, Firdous, Bismillah, and Kazi. The Court also ordered an enquiry against SHO of Pratapnagar Police Station, Srimohan Meena, for failing to register the case. According to the Police, the woman had come to the Police Station a year and a half ago. She went back after Shahid intervened.
