Ban non-Hindus and atheists from entering Hindu temples across the country- Appeal to temple trustees of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Incidents of desecration of temples by fanatical Muslims in Karnataka

Mumbai – A very disturbing incident was revealed at the Koragajja Temple in Mangaluru, Karnataka. Fanatical Muslim youth Nawaz (deceased), Abdul Rahim and Abdul Tawfiq have violated the sanctity of the Temple by throwing objectionable items in the donation box of the Koragajja Temple, creating a wave of anger not only in Mangaluru but also among Hindus across the country. This is not the only incident but many such incidents have come to light in the State of Karnataka. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has warned that the administration will have to face the wrath of Hindus if strict action is not taken against those who commit such acts with the intention of spreading rift in society. Against this backdrop, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has appealed to temple trustees across the country to ban non-Hindus and atheists from entering Hindu temples so that the sanctity of temples is protected, and law and order is not disturbed further during the Coronavirus epidemic. The campaign will be carried out by Samiti under the aegis of ‘Rashtriya Mandir-Sanskriti Raksha Abhiyan’ and all the temple trustees and devotees should participate in it,  appealed the National Spokesperson of Samiti, Mr. Ramesh Shinde.

Mr. Ramesh Shinde

The press note further says –

The acts committed by fanatical Muslims in the Temple at Mangaluru are the intentional desecration of Hindu places of worship. If such an incident had taken place in the case of Muslim places of prayers, the country would have been on fire; however, since Hindus are tolerant, the atmosphere here is peaceful. Now, due to such anti-Hindu acts, restrictions on temple entry have to be imposed. We are appealing to all temple trustees to put up large billboards outside Hindu temples saying ‘Non-Hindus and atheists are barred from the entry’. Also, a Police complaint should be lodged against the violators. The Samiti will hold meetings of temple trustees to create awareness in this regard.

What happened in the Koragajja Temple

Korgajja Temple

Nawaz, Abdul and Tawfiq went to the Koragajja Temple a few days ago, they put contraceptives in the donation box in the temple. Also, before his death, Nawaz, a religious fanatic, had often excreted in the temple. A few days later, Nawaz died of vomiting blood. Fearing that Nawaz’s death was due to God’s wrath, Abdul and Tawfiq went to the priests and confessed. After the priests verified, the Police were called and the religious fanatics were handed over to the Police. Not a single Muslim leader who has called for inter-religious harmony has expressed even a simple regret in this regard, said Mr. Shinde.
