Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati of Puri Peeth warns the Central and Uttarakhand Government

It is disgraceful that the supreme religious head of Hindus has to demand this! Hindus don’t expect such sorry state of affairs in a BJP ruled state!

Puri (Odisha) – ‘The Prime Minister and the Home Minister should note that the Kumbh festival has commenced at Haridwar, but we Shankaracharyas are being neglected by the Government. We are not seeing any efforts to provide us with a location and area worthy of our status. Why is there so much apathy under your rule? Do you want to lead the religious and spiritual areas also?’ Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati of Puri Peetha has warned the administration “Look seriously into this matter and make arrangements for providing an appropriate location and area in Haridwar Kumbh Mela within next 5 days”.

‘If we fail to receive justice, we will declare that you are unfit to rule’!

If appropriate justice is not done to us, we will declare ‘you are not fit to rule’! We have empathy; but this type of neglect is not expected. We were not given decent land and location. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand should ask the administration, why are we being ignored? Such gross neglect of the Shankaracharya makes us contemplate.”
