Theft in an ancient temple in Tamil Nadu

There is no option but to establish Hindu Rashtra to ensure safety of temples ! The fact that successive governments, regardless of their political leanings, were incapable of protecting the Temples emphasises this !

Thanjavur (Tamil Nadu) – Unknown miscreants vandalised a 350 –year-old Anandavalli Sametha Baskareswarar temple located in Thiruvidaimaruthur area of Thanjvur District here and looted the Mangalsutra and other valuable items. Temple administrator Krishnasami reached the spot after receiving information. Police started investigations after he lodged a complaint in Police station.

The previous night, temple priest, Sivanandiyaar Senathipathi locked up the temple after pooja and returned home. The next morning the temple guards found the lock broken. The gold and silver Pooja items were also missing from the temple.
According to a report in Kathir News, devotees have alleged that the temple treasurers did not appoint guards for the temple. This negligence by the officials is being touted as the reason for the theft and vandalism.
