Once when I met Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale, He enquired about my daughter, Mrs. Vaidehi Gauda. I told Him that in the first year after marriage, she used to have expectations from Mr. Guruprasad Gauda (my son-in-law) such as he should phone her, spare time, spend time with her. Therefore, her spiritual practice and satseva used to be superficial. But now I feel she has forgotten that she is married, because when I talk with her, she appears to be performing satseva as she was performing before marriage.
Now in the last one year, such incidents have not taken place because now she is performing satseva along with H.H. Ramanand Anna. She talks to Him very freely and takes guidance from Him on spiritual practice. I feel that her expectations from Guruprasad are over now. Hearing all this, Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale said, “Very good ! This is what is expected. All who are married or going to be married, will be able to learn from this”.
Learning from this incident
Those who wish to perform spiritual practice, full-time seekers or those engaged in worldly life and couples should focus on spiritual practice, satseva and God-realisation, instead of getting stuck in personality defects and destiny. Then, they will be able to easily lead a blissful life and try for God-realisation.
