Three arrested !

Mumbai – The Maharashtra State Council of Examination’s Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), scheduled to be held across the State on 28 June, has been cancelled after its question paper was leaked in Bhiwandi, Thane district. The incident has once again caused embarrassment to the Government, which has been forced to cancel the TET examination.
After receiving information that a person was in possession of the question paper, the Police conducted a raid and immediately summoned officials of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination for verification. It was found that several questions in the seized question paper matched the actual examination paper. Consequently, a case has been registered at Bhiwandi Police Station. Priya Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination, disclosed this information at a press conference. In connection with the case, a Police team has taken three persons into custody from the Sahara Airport area.
The revised examination date will be announced on the Maharashtra State Council of Examination’s official website. Candidates will not be required to register again for the examination, nor will any additional examination fee be charged. The TET was scheduled to be conducted at 1,028 centres across 37 cities. It is the State-level examination conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts from Classes I to VIII.
This incident has come to light even as the investigation into the recent NEET question paper leak remains incomplete. In connection with that case, some students had also died by suicide.
