

Leh (Ladakh) – During his surprise visit to Leh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed puja of the Holy Sindhu River on 3rd July. He met soldiers at a ‘Forward Post’ at 25 km from Nimu. This location has the military headquarters along with the various soldier regiments. The historic Sindhu River associated with India’s history flows through this area. Prime Minister took darshan of the Sindhu River and performed puja of the River.
Every year in July, a festival of Sindhu Darshan is organised. This festival was started by senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani in the decade of 90s. The festival could not be however organised this year amidst the corona pandemic.
