Shiv Sena leader shot dead by unidentified assailants in Rampur (UP)

Such an incident is not expected to occur during the tenure of a Hindutva Government in Uttar Pradesh

Rampur (UP) – Former Shiv Sena Jilha Pramukh Anurag Sharma was shot dead inhumanly on the night of 20^th May. This incident took place at the Aagapur area of the Civil Lines complex.

A resident of Jwala Nagar, Anurag Sharma was returning home on his two-wheeler after buying vegetables from the market, when two assailants shot him in the back and fled. Sharma was rushed to the hospital where he was declared ‘brought dead’.

The hospital where Sharma was taken, was vandalised by his supporters. A large Police force has been deployed at the spot. Mrs. Shalini Sharma, the wife of Anurag Sharma, is a BJP councillor. On receiving the news, the DGP reached Rampur and visited the crime scene, and he also met the family members of Anurag Sharma. The Police department is looking for the culprits. The Police officers have started the investigation of footage from the CCTV cameras at the spot. Sharma also has several cases registered against him.
