Pastor who ‘healed coronavirus sufferers by laying his hands on them’ dies from COVID-19

Yaounde (Cameroon) – A pastor who ‘lay his hands on’ dozens of confirmed and suspected coronavirus sufferers died of the coronavirus illness on 16^th May. Franklin Ndifor, 39, a candidate in the central African state of Cameroon’s presidential election in 2018, claimed to cure COVID-19.

In previous weeks, sufferers had flocked to the Kingship International Ministries Church, founded by Ndifor, where he lay his hands on them and prayed for their healing. His supporters called him a ‘prophet’ and blocked the entrance to his home in the capital city of Douala for eight hours as medical staff tried to retrieve Ndifor’s body on 16^th May morning.
