They assure police they will never slaughter cows again or engage in any criminal activity !

Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) – Forty-seven Muslim accused who had previously been booked in cow slaughter cases voluntarily reported to a police station in Saharanpur and assured the police that they would completely stay away from crime in future. The group also included accused against whom action had been taken under the Gangsters Act.
All of them carried placards bearing messages about respecting the law, staying away from crime and leading an honest life.
In the presence of police officers, they took an oath and declared, “We will no longer participate in cow slaughter or any other illegal activity. From now onwards, we will earn our livelihood through honest labour and live as responsible citizens.”
Police warn of strict action in case of any future offence !
Police officers clearly warned the accused that if any of them was again found involved in cow slaughter or any other crime, strict action would be taken in accordance with the law.
They further said that the assurance to stay away from crime should not remain a mere formality but should be reflected in their conduct and daily lives. They also instructed them to immediately inform the police if they came across anyone involved in cow slaughter or any other criminal activity so that timely action could be taken.
