One individual booked in the Badrinath Dham donation theft case

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – A case has been registered against Pramod Nautiyal, the suspended private secretary to the Chairman of the Temple Committee, in connection with the donation theft case at the famous pilgrimage site of Shri Badrinath Dham. (How do the other office-bearers of the temple remain unaware that donations to the temple are being stolen ? If they know about it and still ignore it, action should also be taken against them ! And if they are unaware, then such office-bearers should be removed ! – Editor)

According to information provided by the Temple Committee’s Chief Executive Officer, Sohan Singh Rangad, Nautiyal had been issued a show-cause notice on 3rd July itself as soon as the matter came to light. However, as his reply to the notice appeared highly suspicious, the Committee recommended strict legal action against him. The Temple Committee is now investigating the root of the matter to ascertain whether anyone else was also involved.

Editorial Perspective

  • It is shameful for Hindus that money donated to temples is being stolen by people within the temples!
  • It is because Hindus lack education on Dharma and do not practise Dharma, they lack knowledge and pride in their Dharma, and engage in such acts. To change this situation, only a Hindu Rashtra governed by rulers who practise Dharma is needed!
