New Delhi – Many diplomats from their respective countries’ Embassy here, were invited by the Government to Srinagar to tour J&K to assess the ground situation. This was the first official tour of foreign diplomats after the scrapping of Article 370. They met members of ‘Diplomat Civil Society’. The delegation explained that civilians of J&K thwarted accusations made by Pakistan. The people told us that Pakistan is responsible for the killings in Kashmir, and it should be pressured to not interfere in Kashmir.
Various security organisations informed the delegation about security in the State. An office-bearer of the Foreign Ministry said that the Government had organised this tour to disclose Pakistan’s malicious motives in spreading false information on Kashmir. Earlier, a delegation of 23 EU MPs had visited J&K. Their tour was organised by a voluntary organisation.
