India delivers a strong rebuke on terrorism at the United Nations !

New York (USA) – Countering the financing of terrorism must form part of the collective efforts of the global community. The international community should work together to uproot this ‘murderous ideology’ without using any grievance as a pretext to justify or support terrorism, India urged at the United Nations.

India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, said, “India has been a victim of cross-border terrorism for several decades. We have paid a heavy price for it. Many innocent people have lost their lives, and families have been devastated. It is from this experience that India has adopted the position that terrorism cannot be supported in any manner whatsoever. Regardless of any grievance, political objective or strategic calculation, all forms and manifestations of terrorism must be condemned without hesitation. Member States must extend full cooperation in this regard. The international community must refrain from applying double standards while combating terrorism. It is essential to hold accountable and bring to justice those who carry out terrorist acts, those who conspire to commit them, those who provide them with financial support, and those who sponsor them.”
