Police negligence in the district of Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge !
Kalaburagi (Karnataka) – In Kalaburagi, the district of Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge, an accused arrested under the POCSO Act escaped from a police station after outwitting the police.
The incident occurred at Afzalpur Police Station in the district. The escaped accused has been identified as Manjunath (24). He had been arrested a week earlier in connection with the sexual assault of a minor girl and brought to the police station. In the early hours of 2 July, after noticing that the police personnel were asleep, Manjunath cleverly freed himself from his handcuffs. He then climbed over the compound wall by using the branch of a tree inside the police station premises and escaped without anyone noticing. The entire incident was captured on the police station’s CCTV cameras.
