Seven ‘Love Jihad’ cases revealed across five States

New Delhi – Seven cases of Love Jihad have come to light in various States across the country. It has been revealed that fanatic Muslim youths cheated Hindu girls, pressured them to convert, and even tortured them.

1. Delhi

Shakib Zardari, alias ‘Sunny’, befriended a 36-year-old married Hindu woman from Burari area here through Instagram. He hid his Muslim identity. Since the woman was a ‘social media influencer’, he invited her to a hotel and raped her on the pretext of making a video. He also pressured her to convert and took her to a madarasa. A case was registered after the victim’s husband complained.

2. Haryana

Faridabad: A Qazi (Islamic jurist) of a mosque in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, named Qamar Raza, cheated a Hindu girl using fake identity, raped her and made an obscene video and demanded Rs 50,000 from her. The Faridabad Police have arrested three people including him.

Aligarh: In Rorawar, Dist. Aligarh, a Muslim man hid his identity to lure a Hindu woman from Delhi and married her in a temple. Later, when his true identity was revealed, he pressured her to convert, divorced her, and tried to force her to perform ‘halala’ (if the woman wants to remarry after divorce, she has to have physical relations with another person before that. This practice is called halala) with other men.

3. Uttar Pradesh

Kanpur: A young man named Sahil raped a minor Hindu girl in Ghatampur in the district while hiding his Islamic identity. She was also pressured to convert. A case has been registered, and the Police are searching for absconding Sahil and his brother.

Bahraich: Police have safely rescued a minor Hindu girl who was kidnapped from Dharswan Shekhuwapur village in the district. Latif Ahmed alias Monu was arrested in this case. Angry Hindus pelted stones at Monu’s house when the victim was kidnapped 3 days ago. After this, the Police took immediate action and searched for the victim.

4. Madhya Pradesh

Alirajpur: A young man named Shakeel lured a tribal Hindu girl into romantic relationship. On the pretext of marriage, he took her to Ajmer in Rajasthan and pressured her to convert. He has been arrested, informed Raghuvansh Singh Bhadoria, Superintendent of Police .

5. Gujarat

Mehsana: In the Kheralu area in the district, Mohammad Javed, disguised as ‘Rahul’, raped a 20-year-old Hindu girl. He invited her to a hotel threatening to broadcast her obscene videos. When some people came to know about this, they caught Javed red-handed and beat him up badly. The Police have registered a case of both rape and assault.
