Plot to Assassinate Princesses of the Netherlands Foiled

Accused with Nazi Ideology Arrested

Amsterdam (Netherlands) – Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for plotting to assassinate the future Queen of the Netherlands, Princess Catharina-Amalia, and her sister, Princess Alexia. An axe and a note mentioning a ‘bloodbath’ (a term used when many people die during a war or riot) were found with the accused. Following this incident, security for the Dutch Royal Family has been significantly increased.

The arrested individual belongs to a far-right ideology and had hatched the plot to kill the princesses inspired by Nazi beliefs. Police found that the axe seized from the accused had the name of Princess Alexia, the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, and the Nazi-era phrase ‘Sieg Heil’ engraved on it.

Princess Amalia (age 22) has been receiving constant threats for several years. Due to security reasons following these threats, she had to abandon her student life in Amsterdam and live secretly in Madrid, Spain, for some time in 2024.
