Mass conversion plot suspected

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh – A fake doctor was caught at KGMU (King George’s Medical University) in Lucknow on Tuesday. After presenting the accused before journalists, he was handed over to the police. He is accused of trapping medicos in a love trap and plotting religious conversion. Additionally, he was planning to take female students outside under the pretext of arranging meetings with American doctors at AIIMS Delhi.

KGMU spokesperson Dr. KK Singh stated that after the Rameez Malik case that came to light in the Pathology department a few days ago, an investigation team was formed on the Vice Chancellor’s instructions. He was given the responsibility of this team. During this period, suspicious activities were being monitored.

1. Information was received that some people were trying to lure KGMU female students and take them outside. When the team increased surveillance, it was found that there was a plan to take the female students out of Lucknow under the pretext of meeting American doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi.

2. According to the spokesperson, the accused has been identified as Hasan Ahmad. He used to pose as a doctor by organizing medical camps in Lucknow. On 20 April, during an inspection at one such camp, around 20 KGMU students were found present. When the situation seemed suspicious, the team laid a trap and caught him near the surgery department on Tuesday. Later, the accused was presented at a press conference in Brown Hall and handed over to the police. The accused always wore doctor’s attire and had more than 20 male and female students in his contact. He claimed to have access to multiple departments. During interrogation, the accused revealed that he is 12th pass and studied at Shia Inter College in Lucknow.
