Bengaluru, Karnataka — “Muslims have always supported us, and we have shared a brotherly relationship that will continue in the future as well. The Congress party has never fallen short in safeguarding the interests of minorities”, said State Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara.

Addressing the discontent among some members of the Muslim community over the distribution of election tickets, he clarified that not receiving a ticket in a particular constituency did not change the overall situation. He urged members of minority communities not to feel discouraged.

He added, “if there are any shortcomings, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar will hold discussions and work towards resolving them.  We all need to move forward together.”

Editorial Perspective

For these reasons, Congress is accused of being responsible for India’s partition and of branding Hindus as “saffron terrorists” while supporting jihadi extremists. Even after being removed from power, the party has shown no signs of change. Such statements indicate that it is unlikely to reform, and therefore its political existence should come to an end.
