Pakistan resentful over Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s remarks

Islamabad (Pakistan) – ‘Operation Sindoor’ is still going on. Our neighbours are in a position where they can do something aggressive. If they do so, India will give a strong and severe response,’ warned Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in the backdrop of the ongoing Gulf conflict. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has responded by saying ‘Pakistan is ready for a decisive response’.
Khawaja Asif said that as the anniversary of the Pahalgam attack approaches, such statements do not reflect strength but anxiety. Such threats are not new. Trying to escalate tensions for political gain under the guise of baseless allegations is part of an expected pattern; but Pakistan is fully committed to peace and regional stability.
Editorial PerspectiveBefore Operation Sindoor, all the Pakistani ministers were making big statements; but after India’s action, they all went into hiding. While this happened recently, Pakistani Ministers are not changing their stance. |
