Religious fanatics denied bail in Hindu woman sexual assault and multiple deception cases

Incident in Mumbra, Mumbai

Thane, 11 February – A religious fanatic practising black magic from Mumbra sexually assaulted a 29-year-old Hindu woman from Dombivli who works as a yoga trainer. Police had registered an offence against Imran Subhan Shaikh alias “Chhote Baba” along with four others. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused had similarly deceived other young women and maintained physical relations with them. Considering the nature of the offence committed by Imran, Sessions Court Judge S.S. Shinde rejected his bail application. Advocate Poonam Jadhav represented the victim. Locals stated that by rejecting bail, the court has sent a stern message to society and maintained the fear of law.

Imran told the victim that his “friend wanted to learn yoga” and took her to an unoccupied house in Mumbra. (Girls, do not trust Muslims after being misled by their words ! – Editor) There he sexually assaulted her. He threatened that if she disclosed the incident he would circulate obscene videos and destroy her family through black magic. By threatening her, he forced her to accept Islam and married her. Imran forcibly made the victim consume beef. He used to abuse Hindu deities in her presence. “After she gives birth to 5–6 children, abandon her and use her as a domestic maid,” he would say while harassing her, Advocate Poonam Jadhav told a reporter of Sanatan Prabhat. After the distressed woman filed a complaint, police arrested Imran Shaikh, while the other accused — Sagira Subhan Shaikh, Subhan Shaikh, Husena Shaikh and Fakruddin Shaikh — are absconding. Advocate Jadhav said that records at the lodging facility where the victim was taken showed that 18 girls had visited the place with the accused at different times. Many of them were Hindu and similar acts had been committed with several women.

In Mumbra, Imran Shaikh and Subhan Shaikh are known as “Nariyalwala Baba” for performing black magic. During the investigation, police found chemicals, coconuts, lemons and materials used for occult practices. Using chemicals, he injected turmeric and vermilion into coconuts with a syringe and inserted pins into them to create the illusion of black magic, which attracted crowds. The collected coconuts and lemons were later sold to make coconut crush (coconut powder) and lemon powder.
