“If Muslims lose patience, riots will break out across the country in an instant” : Maulana Sajid Rashidi

Maulana Sajid Rashidi spews venom !

(‘Maulana’ is a scholar of Islam)

New Delhi –  Rashidi claims, “Certain individuals have developed a habit of opposing issues without even understanding the Constitution. Wherever the word ‘Muslim’ is mentioned, opposition becomes convenient. Shah Rukh Khan is a Muslim; a Bangladeshi player is a Muslim; therefore, opposition is inevitable. This exposes hatred against Muslims. Those who speak against Muslims are now also questioning Shah Rukh Khan’s decisions. Such elements spread hostility in the name of religion.”

Issuing an open threat, Maulana Sajid Rashidi, President of the ‘All India Imam Association’, warned that if Muslims lose patience, riots could erupt across the country within moments. He made this statement in the context of opposition to Bangladeshi cricketer Mustafizur Rahman, who was bought at the auction by Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Rashidi further questioned,

“The cricket team belongs to Shah Rukh Khan. Whom he chooses to play is nobody else’s concern. If there is anything unconstitutional, the government will take action. What is the credibility of those who are opposing?” (Under the pretext of the Constitution, fanatic Muslims and their religious leaders attempt to justify and carry out various anti-national and anti-Hindu activities ! – Editor)

Editorial Perspectives

  • Through this statement, Maulana Rashidi himself underscores the reality that riots in India are invariably orchestrated by religious fanatics. Muslims have long ceased to exercise patience; instead, unrest is repeatedly fomented through slogans such as ‘Sar tan se juda’ (beheading), spreading fear and instability in the nation. Hindus must clearly understand that coexistence under so-called secularism is impossible with individuals who have such mindset.
  • Criminal cases should be registered against Maulanas who issue such provocative threats, and they must be imprisoned.
