68 new Pakistani terrorist bases active along the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir

  • Around 120 terrorists ready to infiltrate India

  • Security forces tighten surveillance

New Delhi – Intelligence agencies have revealed to a newspaper that 68 new terrorist bases are active in Pakistan-occupied areas along the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir, and around 110 to 120 terrorists are currently preparing to infiltrate into the Union Territory.

  • Inputs suggest that infiltration attempts may increase in the coming weeks. Security has been tightened in several sensitive stretches along the LoC, and surveillance has been stepped up across all sectors by the security forces.
  • An official said that Pakistan-backed terrorists are being continuously pushed towards the LoC; however, Indian security agencies are fully prepared. All forces have been instructed to stop every infiltration attempt right at the border.
  • In this backdrop, patrolling has been increased in villages and posts near the border. Troops deployed directly on the LoC have been ordered to remain extra vigilant and to respond immediately to any suspicious movement. Night-vision cameras, drones, thermal sensors, ground sensors, intensified patrolling and additional personnel have been deployed along the border.
  • On 30 November, at a Border Security Force press conference in Jammu, Shashank Anand, Inspector General of the Jammu Frontier, said, “In 2025 so far, the BSF has destroyed 118 Pakistani posts. The Government has given us the target of zero infiltration, and we will achieve it.”
