India now receives more foreign investment than China!

  • Data from Australia’s ‘Asia Power Index 2025’

  • India has also surpassed Japan in defence capability

Canberra (Australia) – Australia’s think tank Lowy Institute has stated that India has now become the third-largest defence power in the world in the Asia Power Index 2025. India’s performance in ‘Operation Sindhur’ has played a crucial role in strengthening its defence capabilities. With this, India has moved ahead of Japan. In the rankings, the United States is first, while China is second. Although the US is not geographically part of Asia, it is included in the list due to its significant influence in the region.

At the same time, India is rapidly becoming an attractive destination for investment. After the United States, India now receives the highest foreign investment, overtaking China. The main reason is that international companies are trying to diversify their supply chains outside China. India has achieved this status based on rapid economic growth and expanding military strength.

Key points:

1. According to the data, in 2024 India ranked in the middle-power category with 39.1 points. This year, India’s score increased by 0.9 points to 40, pushing it into the major-power category.
