Was the mysterious death of a US officer in Dhaka linked to a plot to assassinate Prime Minister Modi ? : Report by Organiser magazine

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – According to a report published in Organiser magazine, a US Special Forces officer, Terence Arvell Jackson, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room in Dhaka on 31 August. The report suggests that this officer had been stationed in Dhaka as part of a covert mission aimed at targeting India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Citing intelligence experts, Organiser claims that this could have been part of an assassination plot against Prime Minister Modi, which was foiled through a joint operation by Indian and Russian intelligence agencies.

Details of the incident

Terence Arvell Jackson was reportedly sent to Bangladesh to train its military in operations related to St Martin’s Island. On the same day, Prime Minister Modi was in Tianjin, China, attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit. After the summit, Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a private conversation in a car for about 45 minutes. The Organiser report hints at a possible connection between this private discussion and Jackson’s mysterious death, alleging that the officer may have been part of a conspiracy to assassinate Modi.

The magazine also refers to Modi’s remarks during his address at India’s Semicon Summit on 2 September, where he said, “Why are you clapping? Because I went to China or because I came back?” Analysts cited by Organiser interpret this cryptic statement as a subtle indication that Modi’s life might have been in danger.

Was the United States attempting to destabilise India?

The report further raises concerns that the US, under President Trump, has in recent months adopted a consistently anti-India stance, siding with Pakistan and creating political difficulties for Prime Minister Modi. After creating unrest in India’s neighbouring countries, the report questions whether the US is now attempting to destabilise India itself.
