Illegal Mosque Constructed on Government Hospital land in Chennai

An illegal two-storey mosque constructed on hospital land

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) – An unauthorized 2-storey mosque has been constructed on the premises of Stanley Government Hospital here without any prior permission. Bharat Hindu Munnani, a Hindu organisation, recently submitted a memorandum to the District Collector demanding its demolition. According to the Tamil Daily ‘Dinamalar’, the mosque and dargah inside the Hospital grounds in Royapuram, attract Muslims for prayers daily.

Local Hindus told Sanatan Prabhat that mosque authorities had initially sought permission from Hospital management only for renovation. However, after obtaining the approval, additional floors were constructed. (How can the Hospital management grant permission for renovation when the mosque itself is illegally built on Government Hospital land ? This points to either a political conspiracy or to Hospital management bowing to Muslim pressure ! – Editor) Following complaints from Hindus, the Public Works Department officials have imposed a stay on the ongoing construction.

K Delhibabu (State Secretary of Bharat Hindu Munnani) submitted a complaint to the Chennai District Collector stating :

1. The mosque has been constructed on nearly 3,000 sq. ft. of Hospital land, which was originally designated for storing oxygen cylinders.

2. Visitors to the  mosque park their 2-wheelers within the hospital premises, causing obstruction to patients, visitors and hospital staff. When confronted, they even attack doctors and the general public.

3. Earlier, complaints had led to a temporary halt in construction. However, illegal construction has resumed now without any official permission.

Editors Perspective:

With the DMK Government in power in Tamil Nadu and known for appeasing Muslims, such incidents are not surprising.

Tamil Nadu, which has become a hub of injustices against Hindus, is now witnessing the courageous fight of Hindu organisations. Their struggle deserves the highest appreciation ! Hindus across Bharat must stand firmly with them, as the need of the hour !
