US company ‘Kellogg’s’ accused of hiding the use of beef in its food products

Strong opposition from Hindus in the US

New York (US) – The American food manufacturing company W.K. Kellogg’s has come under fire for allegedly failing to clearly disclose the use of beef in its food products. Once this information came to light, Hindus in the U.S. expressed strong outrage, accusing the company of misleading the Hindu community and demanded a public apology from the brand.

US Hindu organizations stated:

1.“Our community is shocked to learn that ‘Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats,’ a popular breakfast product consumed for decades, contains beef-derived ingredients. The packaging does not mention beef in the list of contents. It only lists ‘gelatin,’ conveniently omitting the fact that the gelatin is sourced from beef.”

2. When Hindu representatives contacted the company, Kellogg’s official Lysell A. admitted that the gelatin used in the product is indeed made from beef.

3. The act is highly condemnable, especially coming from a leading company that claims to stand for transparency, quality, and safety.

4. Kellogg’s should immediately recall all products that do not clearly mention the source of gelatin and ensure that all future products prominently state the source of gelatin on their packaging.

Editorial Perspective

Kellogg’s products are also sold widely in India. Therefore, Hindus in India should strongly oppose the company as well, and the Indian government must question the US over this issue !
