Azan can be heard at Dubai airport, why are prayers not heard in India ? : Mangesh Desai questions

(Azan is a loud prayer call from mosques for Muslims)

Mangesh Desai

Mumbai – While returning from Dubai, I heard the azan at the airport there. It made me realize that every religion tries to preserve its existence through different means. However, why is prayer not heard at any airport in India ? It is a means of preserving our existence. God has given us a place in the religion we belong to. It is not our choice; but we can only thank Him by remembering Him and that is our duty, said Mangesh Desai, Marathi film actor and producer of the film ‘Dharmaveer’.

Editorial Perspective

In India, even if you say ‘Jai Shriram’, you are threatened with ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ (beheading). Getting to hear such prayers is a distant thing. To change this situation, the only solution is to declare India a Hindu Rashtra.
