Dhaka (Bangladesh) – There has been a huge surge in the number of crimes in Bangladesh; incidents of violence against women are increasing, law and order problems have arisen, and the situation has gone out of control. In this regard, a statistic has been presented by human rights activists in Bangladesh. According to the data, as many as 342 rape cases were registered in the country in the first three months of 2025. A possibility is being expressed of “The number likely to be even bigger.” Many did not even complain out of fear. The women who were abused no longer have faith in the police system and the judiciary here. As a result, many people are reportedly avoiding filing complaints. About 87 per cent of the women who were abused were under the age of 18. These also include gang rapes. Children have also been targeted by the accused, including 6-year-olds. The victims of the gang-rape case are minors.

Of the many women who have been abused, only their dead bodies were recovered. They were beheaded, with no trace of their heads. Several such bodies have been found. This has posed a major challenge to the police machinery here to identify these women.
