Russia’s Deputy Trade Representative’s statement

New Delhi – In a press conference in the city Russian deputy Representative of Trade Evgeny Griva said that Russia gives 5% discount to India on oil purchase. “Even though the relations with the US are strained, India has continued to do buy oil from us. In these difficult times we are with India. We can offer additional discount of 5% on oil purchase to India. Any extra expenses can be reduced. However, the decision should come from both the parties.”

Russia has supported India during the trade tax war with the US. The head of Russian Embassy Roman Babushkin said, “ US has fabricated economic weapon. If the US market is posing impediments for India’s entry, Russian market is open for it. We are committed to find solutions to challenges India is going through. In the interest of our respective nations, we will find a solution to combat the US President Trump’s trade war.
India’s oil import from Russia

Before Russia-Ukraine war India used to buy only 68-thousand-barrel oil from Russia. Currently the number has gone up to 17 lakh barrel.
