Tribal Hindu woman raped in Jharkhand !

• Pressured for religious conversion as well !

• Such incidents are occurring daily in Sahibganj

Ranchi (Jharkhand): In Sahibganj district, a Muslim man named Aftab Ansari lured a married tribal Hindu woman with the false promise of a job, deceived her, and raped her. He recorded a video of the assault and began blackmailing her, pressuring her to convert to Islam. When she refused, he threatened to kill her entire family.

Journalist Shubhi Vishwakarma visited the location and reported that such predatory tactics by radicalized Muslims against tribal women are alarmingly common in the Sahibganj area. Many of the targeted women are already married, yet they are forcibly converted and married again, after which they are relocated outside Hindu settlements to live in Muslim-dominated areas.

Shocking case of Panchayat Head Monika Kisku

Shubhi highlighted the disturbing case of Monika Kisku, a tribal woman, and the elected head of a Panchayat. She was deceived by a man named Umed. After Umed’s death, his brother Ali; who is a local JMM leader; married her. Interestingly, Monika has not changed her name nor given up her tribal identity. This enables Ali to avail benefits such as caste-based reservations, government concessions, and even political candidacy under the guise of tribal association.

“This entire process is being carried out silently and systematically, almost on a daily basis, under the banner of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha,” said Shubhi, citing several such alarming incidents happening across the state.

Editorial Perspective

Given that Jharkhand is ruled by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), which panders to Muslim interests, such incidents are hardly surprising. What is more infuriating is that the apathetic Hindu population continues to elect this very party back to power.
