Mosques in Mumbai now begin giving Azaan through an app !

When the Imam presses a button on the app, the Azaan reaches every home !

Mumbai – Loudspeakers removed from mosques in Mumbai have recently been taken down. As an alternative, the Mahim Mosque has launched an app called ‘Azaan’. When the Imam (the one who leads prayers in the mosque) comes to the mosque to give the Azaan (the call inviting Muslims to prayer at a loud volume), he presses a button on the ‘Azaan’ app on his mobile phone. After this, people in the city who have this app on their phones immediately hear the Azaan.

At present, the large loudspeakers in mosques have been covered, and smaller sound systems have been installed inside the mosques. Fahad Pathan, a trustee of Mahim Mosque, said, “When the police asked us to remove the loudspeakers from the mosques, we did so and launched the ‘Azaan’ app.”

This app is being actively used in several mosques, including those in Mahim, Chembur, Mankhurd, Kurla, and Bandra, among others. In Mahim alone, more than 500 people have this app installed. QR codes have been placed outside the mosques, allowing people to scan and download the app.

Worshippers at the Mahim Mosque said, “Now we can hear the Azaan at home without any controversy. This will also help children develop the habit of offering Namaz.”

Editorial Perspective

This is an example of how Muslims practice their faith by overcoming every obstacle! On the other hand, as most Hindus have turned away from practising their Dharma and spiritual practice, today, Muslims have gained dominance over the world, while no one gives importance to Hindus. This is shameful for Hindus who lack pride in Dharma !
