In Pakistan, Muslims are abandoning Islam

Islamabad (Pakistan) – According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, by the year 2012, one million Pakistani Muslims had left Islam, and it is estimated that another 4 million people may abandon Islam in the coming years.
1. An atheist organization has emerged in Pakistan. According to a report by this organization, it has one million registered members. A Pakistani named Harris Sultan, who was a devout Muslim until 2007, now becomes furious even at the mention of Islam.
2. Former Muslims who have left both Pakistan and Islam and settled in Europe, like Harris Sultan, stated that according to a survey in Europe, around 1,60,000 people have become ex-Muslims. In a 2015 survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in the United States, 23% of Muslims born there had left Islam.
3. In the Pew Research Center’s survey, the data was provided by those Pakistani citizens who had publicly renounced Islam; however, there are many more Pakistani Muslims who have not declared it openly but have internally abandoned the religion.
