Istanbul (Turkey): Turkey and Pakistan will continue to fight terrorism together. The two countries will support each other through training, intelligence, and technology. This will benefit both, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met President Erdogan in Istanbul late on the night of 25th May. Erdogan made these remarks during the meeting. During this time, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is on a tour of Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan. He will present Pakistan’s stance in these countries regarding the tension with India. After the Pahalgam attack, Turkey and Azerbaijan openly supported Pakistan amid the increased tension between India and Pakistan. Turkey also sent drones and personnel trained to operate them to Pakistan for use against India.
Following Operation Sindoor, Erdogan telephoned Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and said, “I pray to Allah for mercy on our brothers who lost their lives in the attack and express my condolences to the people and country of Pakistan.” ( This statement is like two thieves saying they will fulfill the duties of the police- Editor).
