Islamabad (Pakistan) – If we do not solve the water crisis now, we may die of starvation. This is a water bomb; because the Indus Valley is our lifeline. Three-fourths of the water in our country comes from outside the country. Nine out of every 10 of us depend on this river. 90 percent of our crops get water from this river.

The Government should take some steps to get out of this crisis as soon as possible, demanded Pakistani MP Syed Ali Zafar in the Pakistani parliament after India suspended the Indus Water Sharing Treaty. Ali Zafar is an MP from former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party.
