
Ponda, 15 May – The Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav is scheduled from 17th to 19th May 2025 at the ‘Infinity Grounds’ of Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi. The inauguration of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale Nagari will take place at the festival venue. Against this backdrop, on 15th May, the district and police administration conducted an inspection of the festival site.
Present during the inspection were South Goa District Collector Igna Klitz, South Goa Police Superintendent Tikam Singh Verma, along with other police officers, administrative officials, Sanatan’s saint Pujya Prithviraj Hajare, and National Spokesperson of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mr Ramesh Shinde.
During the visit, Police Superintendent Tikam Singh Verma and District Collector Igna Klitz inspected all three grand pavilions, the main entrance gate, the security arrangements at the venue, the main stage inside the pavilion, the food arrangements, the pavilion for dignitaries and VIPs, and the pavilion for seekers and devoted attendees.
Mr Ramesh Shinde briefed them on the various arrangements made at the festival site. Both Tikam Singh Verma and Igna Klitz provided several suggestions related to the event. They thoroughly reviewed the medical facilities, crowd control management, safety of attendees, emergency arrangements, and the arrival and departure routes for dignitaries and VIPs.
Officials from the ‘BVJ India’ organization, who were also inspecting certain arrangements, were present at the site. The District Collector and Police Superintendent gave them some additional instructions as well.
